A very nice study; includes the text of Rev. Weatherhead's sermons, which is a great convenience.

okay but more churchy instead of regular bible study from the good book.

A treasure. The workbook contains the original book. Do not know what happened to my copy of the book. I have given "The Will of God" to many facing a death in the family. Even though the sermons upon which the book was written were preached during war time London of 1944, the words are new in the 21st century.

A very provocative look at what happens when bad people inflict bad things on innocent beings. And a better look at what happens when we make bad decisions or reject a human condition which does not fit into our life style.
It's a common sense approach to the "why" of God's will. Not all questions will be answered but it helps, especially at times when tragedy can only be blamed. It handles the stupid, "it was God's will" that a child dies or war happens. God gave man free will, but we are free to blame him also.

I read the book years ago and decided to use the workbook this time. Have not finished yet, but think I will return to this many times to review and ponder....a useful tool for thought.

My most recent purchase from Amazon was Leslie Weatherhead's "The Will of God" workbook. When I received my book, I couldn't wait to open it, then found I couldn't close it. Once I began scanning through the book, I had to read it. Being a workbook, it didn't take that long. I buy many of my books for school and church Bible studies at Amazon. I usually can find the book I want at a really reasonable price. And I receive purchases in a reasonable amount of time. I know I can never go wrong with Amazon.
This book can bring about some good discussion in a larger group, say, 5 or more. The discussion builds throughout the reading. Not my favorite, but good.
